Getting Started

Download the Student Network app from the App Store or Google Play. Tap "Sign Up" and enter your university email address. You'll receive a verification link to confirm your account. Once verified, complete your profile and you're ready to go!

Yes, a valid university email address is required to verify that you're a student. This helps us maintain a safe and trusted community. Your email is used only for verification and important account notifications.

Yes! Student Network is completely free to download and use. All core features including housing search, ride sharing, and social networking are available at no cost.

Housing

Open the app and tap on the Housing tab. Use filters to specify your preferences such as price range, number of bedrooms, distance from campus, and amenities. You can view listings on a map or in a list format. Tap on any listing to see more details and contact the landlord.

Yes! If you're a landlord or subletting your place, you can create a listing. Go to the Housing tab, tap the "+" button, and fill in the details including photos, description, price, and location. All listings are reviewed to ensure quality.

Once you find a listing you're interested in, tap "Message" to start a secure conversation with the landlord. You can ask questions, schedule viewings, and discuss terms directly through the app's chat feature.

Ride Sharing

Ride sharing connects students going in the same direction. As a driver, you can offer seats in your car and share fuel costs. As a passenger, you can request rides and split the cost. All users are verified students, making it safe and affordable.

The driver sets a suggested contribution based on distance and fuel costs. Passengers can see the cost per person before requesting a ride. Payments are handled through the app for convenience and transparency.

Safety is our top priority. All users are verified through their university email, profiles include ratings and reviews, rides can be tracked in real-time, and you can share your trip details with friends or family. Report any concerns immediately through the app.

Account & Safety

Go to the Profile tab and tap "Edit Profile". You can update your photo, bio, interests, major, and contact information. Keep your profile current to connect better with other students.

We use end-to-end encryption for all messages, secure servers for data storage, and never sell your personal information. You have full control over what information is visible to other users. Read our Privacy Policy for complete details.

If you encounter inappropriate behavior, suspicious listings, or technical issues, use the "Report" button available on profiles, listings, and messages. You can also contact support directly through the app settings or at support@dormunity.app.

Yes, you can delete your account anytime. Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. All your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
